こんにちは、インターンのゆうです。これは私のインターンの2週目で、今週は大府市にあるHOTセンターに行く予定です。HOTセンターはEBAホールディングスの酸素ボンベを充填する工場です。まずは共和駅まで電車で行き、そこから萩さんが車でHOTセンターに連れて行ってくれました。
Hello, I’m Yu, the intern. This is my second week of internship, and this week I’m scheduled to visit the HOT Center in Obu City. The HOT Center is a facility where EBA Holdings’ oxygen cylinders are filled. First, I took a train to the Kyowa Station, and from there, Mr. Hagi drove me to the HOT Center.
HOTセンターに到着した後、センター長の大村さんがHOTセンターの仕事を説明してくださいました。まずは手術用具の分類と整理を手助けするシステムを開発しています。レーザーを使用して各手術器具にラベルをし、手術前に手術器具を必要なパックに事前に分けることで、医療機器の管理と手術の安全性を向上させています。この技術は、2024年6月にアメリカで開催される医療関連の展示会に参加する予定です。
Upon arrival at the HOT Center, Mr. Omura, the center manager, explained the work they do there. They are currently developing a system to assist in the classification and organization of surgical instruments. By labeling each surgical instrument using lasers and sorting them into the required sets before surgery, they aim to improve the management of medical equipment and the safety of surgeries. This technology is scheduled to be showcased at a medical exhibition in the United States in June 2024.
次に、酸素ボンベの部分について学びました。他の業者は通常、工業用と医療用の酸素ボンベを両方製造していますが、EBA ホールディングスは、医療用酸素に専業しています。また、EBA ホールディングスのガス充填は他の多くの企業と異なり、室内で行われています。通常、高圧ガスの危険を避けるために、ガス充填は屋外で行われることが一般的ですが、HOTセンターでは圧力調整装置があるため、室内で充填が行われます。これはEBAホールディングスの技術力の優れた証拠であり、室内で行われるため、HOTセンターが衛生管理をより良く行えると考えられます。
Next, I learned about the oxygen cylinders. EBA Holdings specializes in medical-grade oxygen, unlike other companies that typically produce both industrial and medical oxygen cylinders. Additionally, EBA Holdings’ gas filling process differs from others in that it is done indoors. While gas filling is commonly done outdoors to mitigate the risks associated with high-pressure gases, the HOT Center conducts it indoors due to the presence of pressure regulating equipment. This demonstrates EBA Holdings’ technological prowess and allows the HOT Center to better manage hygiene.
HOTセンターセンター長の大村さんとの会話の後、私も作業服を支給され、他の仲間と一緒にHOTセンターの酸素充填作業を体験しました。この中で、HOTセンターの酸素ボンベ充填作業は単純な充填だけではないことを理解しました。まず、酸素ボンベが再充填される前に、入口エリアでバーコードをスキャンして記録を作成する必要があります。そしては、EBAホールディングスを他社と差別化する消毒と除菌です。、スッタフがボンベの清潔を行い、残留酸素の異臭やボンベの損傷を検査します。これらのプロセスを経た後、酸素ボンベは酸素充填室に入り、設備を使用してボンベ内部を真空と清潔します。その後、酸素充填が行われます。酸素充填室では、HOTセンターが医療用酸素の基準を超えており、酸素純度が99.9%に達していることに気付きました。充填中に、装置がボンベ内の酸素純度を同時に測定します。すべての基準を満たすと、システムは各個の酸素ボンベ用のラベルを印刷し、スタッフが貼付します。最後のステップは、ボンベ口の包装で、スタッフが専用のプラスチックカバーを取り付け、熱風ガンで封をします。これらの手順を経て、酸素ボンベはラベルに従って各医療機関に配送されます。
Following a conversation with Mr. Omura, the center manager, I was provided with work attire and had the opportunity to experience the oxygen filling operation at the HOT Center alongside my colleagues. During this experience, I realized that the oxygen cylinder filling process at the HOT Center is not merely about filling cylinders; it involves several steps. Before refilling, each oxygen cylinder needs to be scanned and documented at the entrance. Additionally, disinfection and sterilization, which differentiate EBA Holdings from other companies, are performed by staff. The cylinders are then inspected for any residual odors or damages. After these processes, the cylinders are filled in the oxygen filling room, where I observed that the HOT Center exceeds the standards for medical oxygen, with an oxygen purity of 99.9%. The equipment simultaneously measures the oxygen purity inside the cylinders during filling. If all criteria are met, the system prints individual labels for each oxygen cylinder, which are then put on by staff. The final step involves packaging the cylinder’s cap, where staff attach specialized plastic covers and seal them with a heat gun. Following these steps, the oxygen cylinders are dispatched to various medical facilities according to their labels.
以上の内容から、HOTセンターが酸素ボンベの充填に取り組む姿勢は、他の企業と比較して手順がより複雑ですが、それぞれのステップには意味があり、存在する理由があります。この貴重な体験の機会と、HOTセンターの大村さんと全スタッフの温かいサポートに感謝します。
From the above, it is evident that while the HOT Center’s approach to oxygen cylinder filling may involve more complex procedures compared to other companies, each step serves a purpose and contributes to their presence in the process. I’m grateful for this valuable experience and for the warm support from Mr. Omura and all the staff at the HOT Center.
